Parents can select from 9 high-caliber public school systems, some with universal Pre-K, as well as excellent private schools, including schools with Baptist and Catholic affiliations. Dual enrollment is available at multiple institutions, including Cayuga Community College; the Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation (CiTi); Jefferson Community College; Onondaga Community College and SUNY Oswego. These programs allow students to graduate high school well on their way to careers or college diplomas; Oswego County’s P-TECH program allows students to graduate with an electrical or mechanical engineering associate degree.

Post-high school opportunities are expansive: CCC offers 30 degree and 10 certificate programs; SUNY-Oswego, a four-year university, consistently earns national rankings and offers over 75 majors and over 60 minors, in addition to several graduate programs.

And for adults seeking career advancement, upskilling opportunities are also abundant, through CCC’s stackable credentials as well as programs at CiTi, SUNY Oswego and CCC’s new Advanced Manufacturing Institute (AMI).
